A recent training was conducted focusing on Pediatric Assessment, High-Performance Ventilation, and certification in Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS). This program combined classroom instruction with hands-on skill stations, allowing participants to strengthen their ability to recognize and manage critical conditions in neonatal and pediatric patients. Emphasis was placed on systematic assessment, airway management, and delivering effective, team-based resuscitation using high-performance ventilation techniques.

Attendees included personnel from SMCALS and DES, creating a collaborative environment that supported shared learning and interagency coordination. Throughout the training, participants engaged in scenario-based exercises designed to reinforce rapid decision-making, communication, and adherence to current clinical guidelines.

As a result of the training, participants enhanced their clinical proficiency and successfully obtained NALS certification, further strengthening the region’s capacity to provide high-quality emergency care to its youngest patients.
