Stress is a common experience and is your body’s response to new or challenging situations. People often encounter stress related to work, school, health, or relationships. Feeling stress can be a normal part of coping and can reflect a healthy ability to face and solve problems.

Quick Stress Relief Techniques:

  • Deep breathing: Take slow, deep breaths to lower your heart rate and calm your system.

  • Physical release: Stand up, stretch your muscles, or take a brief walk to ease tension.

  • Mindfulness: Focus on the present moment instead of worrying about what may happen.

Establish Daily Lifestyle Habits:

  • Exercise regularly: Engage in activities like walking, jogging, or biking most days.

  • Prioritize sleep: Aim for at least seven hours of quality sleep each night.

  • Eat well: Choose balanced meals and limit caffeine, sugar, and alcohol.

  • Connect with others: Share your feelings with trusted friends, family, or support groups.

In today’s world, where social media and television bring constant updates and often focus on negative news, it’s important to take breaks. Schedule some social media or TV free time. Spend time outdoors, breathe in fresh air, and find ways to relax and unwind.

  • Take breaks from news and social media.

  • Practice deep breathing, stretching, or meditation.

  • Keep a journal.

  • Spend time outdoors, whether active or relaxing.

  • Engage in relaxing activities you enjoy.

  • Practice gratitude and maintain a positive outlook.

  • Connect with others.

Managing stress is possible—make time to let it go and prioritize your well-being.
